Represented successful appellant in D.A. v. R.C., 438 N.J. Super. 431 (App. Div. 2014). In this case, the client-father filed a motion requesting a change in custody and terms of parenting time. Over the objection of counsel, the trial judge refused to refer the case to mediation, interview the child or place on the record his reasons for not interviewing the child, all of which were required by New Jersey Court Rules. The trial judge denied the father’s motion and the matter was appealed. The Appellate Court held the trial judge erred on these issues, reversed the trial decision and remanded for further proceedings.
